As a Tribe Support Worker, you represent both yourself and Tribe every time you attend a shift. What to do
Arrive to every shift clean, neat and well presented.
Wear clean clothing that is appropriate for the activities, weather and support being provided.
Wear enclosed footwear unless another type of footwear is appropriate for the activity.
Dress modestly and professionally, ensuring clothing is suitable for working with participants of all ages.
Ensure your appearance reflects the professional standards expected of a disability support worker.
Remember that you are representing Tribe whenever you are supporting participants in the community.
What Not to Do
Don't attend shifts wearing dirty, damaged or inappropriate clothing.
Don't wear clothing containing offensive language, inappropriate images or slogans.
Don't wear clothing or footwear that creates a safety risk.
Don't wear clothing that may make participants or families feel uncomfortable.
Don't forget that your appearance contributes to the participant's experience and confidence in the support they receive.
