Statement of commitment

Child safety at Tribe

statement

Tribe Disability Support is committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and empowerment of every child in New South Wales. We acknowledge the crucial role we play as caregivers and support workers in the community, actively safeguarding this right to safety. Our leadership involves spearheading efforts to prevent abuse and protect children and young individuals.

Working with Children Policy and Procedure

Tribe Disability Support believes all participants have the right to feel safe and live in an environment that protects them from assault, neglect, exploitation, or abuse, particularly children. Tribe Disability Support recognizes that prevention is the best protection from abuse and neglect. Our employees have a duty of care to implement our prevention strategies. Staff who work in a risk-assessed role require current clearances and criminal record checks. Tribe Disability Support staff (as a mandatory reporter) are required to report any indicators of assault, neglect, exploitation, or abuse to the Manager, who will follow the required state reporting processes. Failure to report an abusive situation may result in a criminal offence.
