Operations & Compliance Manager

Employment type: Casual to Part-time (Min 28 hours per week)

We are seeking an experienced Operations & Compliance Manager to oversee day-to-day service delivery, NDIS compliance, staff training oversight, and operational functions within a small, values-driven organisation. This role is well suited to a hands-on operational leader with strong NDIS knowledge who is seeking flexibility through part-time hours.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, managing incidents and complaints, and providing operational oversight of our SIL service (supporting two participants).
You will also oversee workforce compliance, training systems, and administrative workflows, working closely with a Service Coordinator and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Compliance
Manage day-to-day operational delivery of all supports
Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct
Maintain quality management and operational compliance systems
Maintain policies, procedures, and compliance registers
Oversee complaints management and incident response processes
Coordinate and submit reportable incidents as required
Monitor quality indicators and service delivery risks
Identify trends from incidents, complaints, feedback, and audits
Support audits and lead corrective action implementation
Workforce & Administration Oversight
Supervise rostering and administrative workflows
Ensure workforce compliance requirements are met (screening, checks, documentation)
Oversee staff training compliance, including:
Maintaining the training matrix
Monitoring mandatory and role-specific training completion
Tracking refresher training requirements
Escalate workforce or training risks to the Managing Director
SIL Oversight
Provide operational oversight of the SIL house
Ensure supports align with participant goals, rosters, and Behaviour Support Plans
Monitor staffing models, shift coverage, and continuity of care
Ensure medication administration, daily supports, and routines are delivered safely
Review SIL-related incidents, risks, and service delivery issues
Liaise with the Service Coordinator regarding participant needs and changes
Escalate high-risk SIL matters to the Managing Director
About You
You are a confident and organised professional with a strong understanding of NDIS operations and compliance. You are comfortable balancing operational demands with regulatory requirements and take a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
You will ideally have:
Experience in an NDIS operations, compliance, or service delivery role
Sound knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and incident management
Experience supporting or overseeing SIL services (highly regarded)
Strong organisational and documentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
